I have attended many home inspections and reviewed countless inspection reports. There are a few items that always are included on the inspection report but easy to avoid ahead of time. Here are a few simple things that a seller can do to prepare for home inspections:
- Replace any burnt out light bulbs
- Replace dirty HVAC filters
- Keep pilot light on
- Repair any cracked grout around showers/tubs
If not corrected, these little items will always be on the home inspection report. It is much easier to fix them prior to the inspection rather than have the items show up on the inspection report as suggested repairs.
